One of the world’s largest mining services providers has started a recruitment drive for multiple coal developments in Central Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
Thiess hopes to fill permanent fly-in fly-out positions at Jellinbah Group’s Lake Vermont Coal Mine and BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance’s Caval Ridge Coal Mine and Peak Downs Coal Mine.

Current vacancies include several multi-skilled operator and multi-skilled operator roles that require good team work, integrity and acting with fairness to deliver both safe and “high-quality results”.
Successful applicants will be offered a rotating roster of seven days on and seven days off, and work 12.5 hours each day or night. The company will provide buses and offer salary sacrificed flights between the mine site, Mackay and Rockhampton.
