A Western Downs mining operation is hiring Queenslanders and experience is not necessary.

CS Energy is prepared to pay, train and qualify jobseekers who are interested in a long-term career at the Kogan Creek Coal Mine – about 150km northwest of Toowoomba.

Applications recently opened for the proponent’s 2023 apprenticeship intake. The following full-time vacancies are available:

  • mechanical fitters (multiple positions)
  • business administration (multiple).

Click here to apply. Successful candidates will be trained for up to four years, completing either a certificate IV in business administration or certificate III in engineering – mechanical trade (fitter and turner). Rosters will be 36.25 hours a week with nine-day fortnights, competitive salaries and other benefits. Free personal protective clothing will be provided.

“During the apprenticeship you will receive formal training, and learn how to perform maintenance work under the supervision of qualified tradespeople,” MRAEL said on the Seek website.
